I see Jurrah took the MikeyB course on how to manage your budget as a pro sports franchise.

This is such a massive departure from the days when jerry max paid everybody and arranged for local businesses to take up the slack with endorsement deals.

kinda wonder what happened behind the scenes ..the league never openly did anything...but suddenly all the extra curriculars just stopped,...and the cowpokes fell off a cliff..they havent sniffed a playoff win in how long now?...and now they are doing things like this....
watch, next year jerry is gonna make the guy with the Nike endorsement get shoes for the whole team...and the guy with Gatorade will have to supply sideline hydration.
I imagine @Cheesebeef will be happy to see this...out of all the teams that could draw attention away from the Redbirds for being a cheap low budget franchise...by gawdalllllmighty the cowboys were the best choice!!!







well, I guess they won a WC game back in 2022...but I think thats the only win since we stomped them in 98

I tell ya what...If I am Monti,....I would call the Colts and impress upon them how they can win right now with a solid veteran QB and they need to cut their losses on Richardson before dealing with him makes them miss out on their window...
then I would do them a favor,...and offer Jacoby Brissette and a 2nd round pick for Richardson...I mean, we like those guys and really want to help them out.

on the flip side...Richardson riding the pine behind Kyler gives us a backup we never have to change the playbook for...his athleticism and draft pedigree would put some heat on Kyler...and I honestly think with some good coaching he can be a very good QB,...which provides us a safety net and some flexibility should the team decide to move away from kyler

I don't believe the CBA allows teams to "be generous" and ignore contract clauses to pay players more than what they've earned by the letter of the contract. Same goes for paying bonuses to players who almost reach incentive levels.

I suppose they could've unilaterally offered him a revised contract without the de-escalation clause... But that sets a bad precedent.

As Jones said - Diggs knew the consequences of his actions and consciously decided to take them anyway. Hate defending Jerruh, but I'm not gonna cry for Diggs!

Jerry is an idiot when it comes to football operations and he blames the players for his own failures and inadequacies. We see this with his terrible contract negotiations. He overpays hurt players with severe injuries, and then he stalls out his top players and keeps them out of training camp. Jerry's training staff is garbage because he underpays them. Diggs is likely sacrificing a small part of his contract, to get better treatment elsewhere to ensure the remainder of his career. kind of taking the Luka doncic approach. If Luka listened to the mavericks trainers, he probably would have tore his Achilles. Diggs is probably going to get cut anyway, so it's a smart move by Diggs IMO.

Sorry man but I love to see it. Jerry was all the rage when he bought the cowboys...and because of his money the league seemed to overlook a lot...but things change...and sometimes change is good

I really don’t care anymore. I care less about the cowboys than ever. And I think a lot of their fans feel the same way. Jerry is a villain to his own people now.
