Texas A&M baseball has the opportunity to claim its first Southeastern Conference series of 2026 after an 11-9 Game 1 win, as they face the Missouri Tigers in Game 2 on Saturday evening at Taylor Stadium in Columbia.
The Aggies seemed to put Friday's game out of reach with a commanding 10-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning, but the Tigers came roaring back to close the gap and make the score 10-9 entering the top of the ninth. While Texas A&M was able to add an insurance run from Chris Hacopian to close out a win over Missouri, the Aggie bullpen must improve moving forward.
After the performance against the Tigers, the Maroon and White pitching staff boasts a 4.50 ERA. If Michael Early and company want to get in the win column in league play, it will take stronger outings from the Aggies' pitchers.
