Texas A&M basketball's all-time leading scorer has reportedly signed a summer league deal with the Golden State Warriors.
According to Luke Evangelist of TexAgs, Wade Taylor IV signed with the Warriors on Tuesday and will compete in the summer league action this weekend. Taylor became the Aggies' all-time leading scorer and the first player in school history to surpass 2,000 career points, breaking Aggie legend Bernard King's 1,990-point mark from 1999 to 2003.
Taylor is coming off his first professional season competing for the G-League's Mexico City Capitanes, where he averaged 14.6 points, 6.2 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in 36 appearances.
The former Aggie guard holds 24 season or school records during his time in Bryan-College Station, Texas, while also ranking in the top five in 30 other statistical categories. He garnered a plethora of honors and awards during his collegiate career at Texas A&M, which earned his jersey a spot in the rafters at Reed Arena.
Taylor's elite scoring ability has carried over to the G-League, as he continues to battle for a spot on an NBA roster. The undrafted guard from Dallas was invited to compete for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2025 summer league, before beginning his professional basketball career with the Capitanes.
This year's summer league will feature Taylor on Golden State's roster, however. The former All-SEC selection's deal with the Warriors means he will participate in the team's opening contests over Independence Day weekend. Golden State will field two teams for the 2026 summer league.
