Ahead of the second season under head coach Bucky McMillan, Texas A&M basketball is headed to the Bahamas to compete in the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League.
The announcement released by the program on Thursday says the Aggies will travel to the Bahamas to play three exhibition games against international teams from August 3 through August 5 at the Baha Mar resort. Texas A&M will face the University of Victoria (Canada), Toros del Valle (Colombia) and Carleton University (Canada) during their five-day trip.
Here is the full schedule for the Aggies:
Before the NCAA established a new rule, college teams were only allowed one foreign tour every four academic years. Now, every team is allowed to take one such trip annually.
Texas A&M is one of four teams in the country to be invited to compete against international teams at the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League, joining Arkansas, Cincinnati and South Carolina.
McMillan led the Aggies to the NCAA Tournament in his first season at the helm in 2025-26, while securing a fourth-place finish in the SEC, introducing "Bucky Ball" to Aggieland. Last year's squad ranked in the top 15 in scoring offense, assists, 3-pointers made and bench points.
While hauling in the No. 18 transfer portal class in the country, featuring the nation's third-leading scorer PJ Haggerty, Texas A&M also returns former McDonald's All-American and Big Ten co-Freshman of the Year Mackenzie Mgbako, along with veteran guard Zach Clemence.
The Aggies' trip to the Bahamas presents a significant opportunity to enhance team chemistry and compete against talented international competition before the start of the regular season in the fall.
