Former Texas A&M standouts Wade Taylor IV and Andersson Garcia are teaming up once again. This time in the NBA Summer League, where both have signed deals with the Golden State Warriors. It’s a reunion that’s becoming a trend, as the pair also shared the floor last season with the Mexico City Capitanes.
Taylor delivered a strong campaign in Mexico City, averaging 14.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in a key backup role. Garcia, meanwhile, was a force as a starter, posting a double‑double average of 11.5 points and 10.7 rebounds while shooting 57.8% from the field.
Garcia’s momentum carried into the NBA, earning a 10‑day contract with the Utah Jazz during the 2025‑26 season. In five appearances, he flashed real rotational potential, averaging 5.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks, proving he can provide meaningful minutes at the highest level.
Taylor’s path is steeper, largely due to size and efficiency concerns. At 6'0", 180 pounds, he’ll need to sharpen his consistency after shooting 35.3% from the field last season. But his ceiling remains intriguing, he’s shown he can erupt offensively, including a 27‑point performance against the Suns that highlighted his scoring punch.
There’s still plenty of basketball ahead for both former Aggies, and whether their NBA futures unfold in full or in flashes, the probability of long professional careers remains high. Their reunion in Golden State is just the next chapter.
