If they are really dead set on repeating the stupidity of starting two SG in the backcourt they deserve the disaster they are going to get. I also think they’re now in reset mode. They need to get the best talent they can get.
That's the thing. Looking at his highlights, I don't think he's the best guy we can get at number 10.

I will bet you hard cash if they get under the apron or whatever rule it is that requires the pick to drop to the end that they will not get “the last pick” that you predict.

So what? The difference in value between the #26 pick and the #30 pick is minimal. I understand wanting to be precise, but as a practical matter "the end of the first round" is sufficiently accurate.

I am bummed, but I think this is what you can get for KD right now. Once I let my disappointment simmer for a while, I realized that I am mad because the Suns over-payed when they traded for him, not because of this trade. They got a pick back, and they got two starer-level player for him on somewhat manageable contracts, along with a bunch of second-round picks that might come in handy in additional trades. I don't think this trade is bad- it's the original KD trade that was bad. Suns are screwed until Beal is off the books, so I don't think this matters that much. Just glad they didn't keep and extend Durant. Now they need to make sure they don't cripple themselves for five years by stretching Beal, and I'll be relatively happy.

I was watching ESPN, and they had an analyst that is a big Rockets fan. She said she didn't mind giving up what the Rockets gave up, because the core of the Rockets is still intact. She is thrilled with the KD trade because she feels the Rockets didn't overpay.

But truth is most of the teams in those swaps aren’t great teams either right now. So there’s no guarantee it’s 26, or 24, or even 20.

It’s interesting, on social media rockets fans think they gave up too much.

I will give KD credit for not forcing a trade when we didn’t have success, but at the same time he just never lived up to the hype.

Booker regressed hard IMO ever since he arrived. And I can’t help but feel Houston won’t be his last team.

I’m grateful for the couple seasons we had with him but it obviously didn’t work out. But I will always be sad Mikal Bridges isn’t on this team.

I'd say Booker actually stepped up in KD's first year here, that playoff run against LA and Denver. He actually outperformed Durant. It seemed something happened that caused a rift. CP3 being dealt likely played a role as well.

I think KD got lucky, or we did, with the vocal Suns fans almost doing what he would have by calling for him to be dealt. At least it's over.

I think you’re giving KD too much credit for not asking for a trade within 2.25 seasons.
Those 2.25 seasons seemed like an eternity. Just painfully awful.

bit more time to digest - it is what it is but it could've been worse - couple interesting pieces - movable pieces - 5 packets of sweetener and the 10th pick in the draft - it could've been worse

Hmmmmmm... I dunno. I have a hard time imagining a more pathetic package.

If we don't score a hit with this draft pick, IMO, we traded Durant for an even worse cap position and absolutely nothing else.

For all this blabber about us needing to get under the second apron, we just added contract guarantees nearly 3 times what Durant is owed, for two players who, I expect, we cannot get off of without incentivizing someone.

You could remove Durant from the equation entirely and I still think this trade only compounds our disaster.

Draft Ace Bailey, Derrick Queen or perhaps Nolan Traore. We need bigs and a PG to get the ball out of the hands of Booker and Green and Beal. Hopefully they can flip Brooks and Green + Allen for picks or a position of need.

Can Dunn put on weight to play some PF without losing his speed and quickness?

Maybe Maluach will slip to 10.
Can never go wrong getting a talented 7 footer with a 7'7 wingspan

I hate this team. This is all on Ishbia. Sarver started to turn it around. Now Ishbia is blowing it up.
why trade for a trash player on a bad contract? Make KD play out his last year w/o extension and his 50M+ goes away. Tell Beal to sit at home until he waives his NTC and listen to everyone in the NBA talk about how bad he must be for the Suns to tell him to stay away. Green exemplifies everything that is wrong with player development the last 20 years . Ishbia is an arse clown. WTF?

An impossibly stupid trade, neither setting us up for now or in the future. Who could have possibly seen this, with a complete neophyte in charge?

Caving to KD when we could have had Butler/Kuminga/picks will go down as one of the dumbest decisions all time.

I haven't felt less hopeful for this franchise in a long time.
We didn't cave to KD, Golden State said no to that trade when KD said he didn't want to go there. That simple.

Don't you get sick of Suns fans consistently putting the fault of EVERYTHING on the Suns? Why are other front office infallible. Something bad happens, it's ALWAYS the front office's fault. And many times, we would take the fault away from James Jones and put it solely on Ishbia. That makes no sense in a multi-million dollar enterprise.
