Playing aggressive defense and fast on offense before defenses get set, give a feel for how the Suns will play.

did ish's lips move while ott was talking
That’s actually one of the things I liked about Ott. He didn’t just do group speak like I felt Gregory did during his press conference. There was no plot point or buzzword that he was trying to shoehorn into every answer. Ott would take a quick beat after every question and then give his answer. The answers felt like they were coming from him alone.

Hopefully, "Substance commands the room now." Thia is a quote attributed to Steve Nash.

Now that I've had the chance to hear from and read up on Ott more, I'm on board with the hire. Hopefully he is capable because he seems like the sort of young first time coach who could make a splash immediately like a Taylor Jenkins or Mark Daginault.

I know I preferred Quinn and then Bryant and would be happy to have either still but I think Ott deserves the opportunity he has.

I'm more concerned about "BG" as Jordan Ott called him. Hopefully he is mostly a figurehead as the Suns GM.

DeMarre Carroll has already been mentioned as an assistant for Jordan Ott.

Too bad he is no longer playing.

He has a chip on his shoulder to prove he belongs. Was he hired because MSU ties? He will put the work in but it's a players game at the end of the day.

Didn’t get a good or bad feeling from Ott, but man, Gregory just gives me very little confidence when I hear him speak.

Seems like an interesting and very serious dude. His appearance is striking, eyes wide open and he doesn't blink much. Those could be good traits.

These days who SAYS they will play a passive defense and play slow (even if the suns ACTUALLY played slow)? Just seems like meaningless coach speak. Nothing in his presser seemed revelatory imo.

Nothing new under the Sun so to speak, but a focus on ball movement, getting up court before the defense is set and cutting would be refreshing. Isolation basketball got old.
