The Pittsburgh Steelers made a few roster moves ahead of their playoff game versus the Houston Texans, specifically elevating two practice squad defenders for their wild-card matchup.

Several hours before kickoff on Monday, the Steelers elevated cornerbacks Tre Flowers and D’Shawn Jamison to the active roster for the playoff matchup against Houston.

Signing with the Steelers on Christmas Day, Flowers has played in 98 games throughout his eight-year NFL career, including appearances with the Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and Detroit Lions. He appeared in just one game for Pittsburgh before he was ultimately released and re-signed to the practice squad.

Jamison signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in April 2023. Waived by the 49ers a few months later in August, Jamison was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers, where he appeared in 15 games during his rookie season.

He later signed with the Steelers’ practice squad in September 2024. He later signed a reserve/future contract with Pittsburgh in January 2025. He was previously elevated in Weeks 11, 17, and 18, playing primarily in a special teams capacity.
