I was using his career average of games played. He has played in 166 out of 331 possible games.

He did have his best and healthiest season last year. So I do hope he trends in that direction over the course of this contract. I wish I believed he will but I just don't. It's four years of data which is pretty solid IMO.

But hey, it's not super dumb like the Beal contract was.
12 per year is a great deal for him. He’s pretty good when he plays and we have Manman hopefully able to become the starter eventually.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. The money is almost nothing by NBA standards. I am leery of burning a roster spot for a guy that is going to be on the injured list about half the time. I would rather churn through young guys that are healthy and find some who can be here at C for years.

Number 1, Mark Williams is young. Number 2 , we have a young C already.

"That are HEALTHY"

Seriously though I don't really care enough to make this some BS argument that gets personal. There are a lot of things that Ishbia has done that I wouldn't have done. He wants guys that play half the time? well, okay. His team, his perogative. At least Williams is likable and a guy I root for to do well.

I think Kessler is a much better player than most give credit.
But THAT much better? I like Kessler, too but that was a LOT to give and give up for him! I know we gave two firsts and overpaid, but Kessler, WOW!

The Mark Williams re-signing has also been made official for the Suns.“Mark played a pivotal role in our team’s success last year, helping us establish an identity that we will continue to build on,” said Suns General Manager Brian Gregory. “His size and athleticism give him the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor, and we’re excited to see him build on that progress and continue expanding his game. At 24 years old, Mark’s best basketball is in front of him and we’re thrilled that this will occur as a Sun.”

This is so dangerous. But oh well. He's only 24, which is crazy to me, but his body is apparently that of a 32 year old player. They need to subtract those years, not add to them. I hope they have some solutions to work on to improve his mobility.

i suspect we're really going to lean in on the load management thing - every reason in the world to

not just back to backs - if we're playing 3+ games in a week i hope we sit him in the middle of those stretches too

pops is a living genius - there were years he didn't care where the spurs were seated - screw home court advantage- health was all that mattered

we're not the spurs - but we might beat the spurs with a healthy mark williams - and maluach doesn't need minutes he needs hours - not in some simulator but in the real deal holyfield - he's in year #2 now - time to take the training wheels off
