Stanton didn't lose this game. Yeah he had several bad throws but there were a ton of drops by the receivers.

Also why was Peterson running up the middle constantly? Never went outside.

AP is still a solid back, but you Can't run east/west versus Seattle D, especially when you don't have All Day speed anymore.

I would have liked to see a couple attempts at an outside run but that's not what AP is best at doing. It was odd seeing about all 22 players inside the hash marks though :).

That's not what AP does that's not what he's ever done. Going side to side is exactly what Seattle wants you to do.

I honestly don't care how well Stanton knows the offense what does it matter if he's missing wide open guys by 10 yards. I'm just done with Stanton we know what we have already enough is enough. Stanton and the receivers were horrible

The problem was getting all the Cardinals offensive players in tight inside the hash marks & trying to run the rock. I'm sorry, but that scheme stands no chance against the Hawks!!! BA should've modified his offense & spread them out & tried to run the rock:bang:

That might work against the Niners & Sucs but isn't going to fly against Seattle's D

I fell asleep in the second half and missed a lot apparently, now seeing fitz had a big game. But, what I did see was that on wide open bombs, he is always throwing it too far, once even 10 yards out of bounds. He understands the system, hes just not accurate and never has been.

Pretty amazing how consistent Seattle D is. We get that effort maybe 2x per year. They bring it every game.

We can argue this all day but the fact is Stanton missed some wide open guys. At least 4 that I can remember. He also was hampered by WR's dropping the ball. This was a winnable game and the team failed to execute when needed.

Stanton is a back up QB. He is what you would expect from a back up QB. Everyone expects him to perform as a pro bowler & will bitch when he doesn't. I don't get it. I think Stanton is probably one of the better back ups in the league. Is he an everyday starter? No.

BA's explanation for loving Stanton is so dumb. Yes he knows the system yet he can't run the system!! If I know how do to.do.my.job but yet never get my job done....I'd be fired. He has horrible accuracy. And mix that with all the drops = a loss. Wrs probably assuming they needed to dive or jump for the ball and when they turned around and it was there....shocked them

Part of the problem is Stanton's release, especially when he hurries it. Too many passes come out wobbly, and when the ball arrives quickly and the WRs like Nelson and TEs like Gresham have to react to it quickly to catch it, it's much harder to catch a wobbly ball. Not impossible, but more difficult, if the fat part of the ball hits their hand first.

Stanton missed some throws and he always will. You need your receivers to come up big when your starter goes down. After Fitz ours crapped the bed last night.

Stanton was a real pro in his press conference---wouldn't throw any teammate under the bus. He's very likable. He's gritty, no question. But, why after 6 years with BA, the self-proclaimed QB whisperer, are his mechanics so fundamentally flawed? If anything his mechanics have gotten worse each year.

We don't. It's the head coach that pimps him as being a great starter. Stanton is terrible - he doesn't throw a catchable ball. He can only hit the receiver when they are standing still in a spot, otherwise it's low and away fastballs behind the receiver, ahead of the receiver, to the receiver's feet, etc.

That deep throw to JJ was perfect. Went right through his hands. He throws catchable balls. Our receivers had the drops last night.

To win CONSISTENTLY in the NFL, the QB needs to be good enough to raise the level of the play of his teammates. That is exactly what Russel Wilson does. You might even make a credible argument that is what Carson Palmer is capable of doing.

Stanton at his best is just a shade under being good enough! With Stanton at QB you can win some of the games that you should win, and none of the games that are tough to win.

No offense brother but you have a total roses view on just about anything with this team.... You almost never see a negative side and can pretty much talk up anyone wearing Cardinal Red.. Its great that your always positive and an eternal optimist....

However sometimes you just got to see things for what they are Stanton just isn't very good neither is this team as a whole.... And there is no amount of optimism and fuzzy feelings that is going to change that.....

Even Fitz had Problems to catch the ball because it wasn't a clear sprial throw.

Stanton isn't a good QB, he isn't a good Backup. Good buckups ar Starters on other teams. And now that he is our Starter, he shows that he isn't accurate enough, his balls are never consistantly thrown and they don't fly in a tight sprial. You can't expect a WR fight Richard Sherman and somehow cacht the ball when it hits you in a strange angle in the hands after you dived for it ...

Stanton will win us maybe some games, but ... I'm not optimistic.

On the other hand, the Hawks seem done too. They aren't contender this year at least it doesn't seem so. But they still are better than the cards.
