The Arizona Cardinals’ Chief Financial Officer and multiple other employees have been laid off by the team, numerous sources told Betting Odds.

Longtime CFO Greg Lee was one of three high-level employees given the ax by the Cardinals. The others were the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and the Vice President of Digital Content & Creative.

Several lower-level employees also lost their jobs in the shakeup. The total number of employees laid off was in the double digits, per sources.

Lee had been with the Cardinals since 2006 and was its CFO for the past 15 years.

This could be part of why the Cards...the NFL and other teams have been laying off some staff. The almost $7 billion anti-trust class action lawsuit has been certified and the NFLs last appeal was denied. The trial is slated to start in February, so this person is speculating that a settlement will probably come down ahead of that.

Teams like the Cards, with family owners who have no money sources outside the team, would have a harder time absorbing a large judgement.

They have a new Chief Operating Officer that started recently. This will be him restructuring the business.

He's also opening a new sales office over the road from the training complex and adding 40 new season ticket salespeople in there.

I love the Cardinals so much. Part of me thinks it would super duper cool to work for them.

Just some of who they've hired in the last month. Layoffs make headlines, but it's not like they are just cutting costs...sounds more like a restructure or reallocation of resources to me.

I think I even started a thread a few months ago, to show their LinkedIn posts and things they've been doing on the business side of the team.
