Manning, Reed and Simpson are not going to enter the draft. I think Dante Moore won't either.

That leaves Mendoza and Beck as the two most NFL ready. Mendoza will go #1. After that it's a real crap shoot. Once again, we appear to really need to draft a QB in exactly the wrong year to do so. Personally, I take Pavia over Beck, but people will say I am crazy. Which I probably am.

I just believe it’s a very little chance that both Simpson & Moore stay. It will be one of them at least, especially when the 2027 class overall looks generational. I think both will base their decision off the other.

Then I would say Moore is more likely to enter the draft than Simpson.

Agree. Because if scarcity they’ll go higher. If you’re a first round qb I don’t know how you can not enter.

Oregon is a very good situation to return to school. You could make a similar argument for Alabama. Only real competition for Moore and Simpson in 2027 are Sayin and Arch. Sellers gonna transfer.

But 2027 is also a much better class overall, not even QB.

If he enters the draft what’s your opinion?
He has the physical tools and the moxie. But he needs more time to pick up mental processing and reading defenses presnap. JMO.

So 3rd round and let him sit for a year?
Yeah, but he would be smarter to not go into the draft this year. JMO. He will make good money in college one more year and can make a lot more by having a great college season and winding up as a first round pick.

My guess is he doesn't play for ASU next year.

@Harry - what are your thoughts (and sorry if I missed it) on Iowa/South Dakota State’s Gronowski?
His completion % is marginal. TDs to ints ratio is poor. His performance has declined slightly without more dominant performances. He likely plays in one of the all star games. He’ll have to impress big time to get draft on Day 3. He seems to have enough tools, but will require extensive development.

A few see Beck as a poor man’s Nix. I don’t.

I have a really good source on Simpson. My next door neighbor was an assistant on Saban's staff ay Alabama. He left and came to Tennessee Martin and is now on Coach Simpson's staff at UTM. He hasn't yet told me if he knows if he will come out this year. I think I will find that out soon but I don't want to appear that I'm probing for information. It's pretty fascinating some of the things he has told me about working for Saban. The amazing thing is Simpson's younger brother is even better than him. He set the state record last year in the state playoffs with 620 yards passing and 8 touchdowns in the game.

Agreed but QB trumps a lot. You and Harry could be correct and one or both of Moore and Simpson come out. I don't have inside sources and am just going off of what is out on the internet.
