There's a clip of Warner breaking down Beck on Youtube that keeps popping up in my feed. Warner overall seems to like him thinks he has a chance but when he starts going to the warts you get this clip. Drops back clean pocket tons of time to throw the WR is breaking free and ends up wide open for a TD, but Beck throws the ball early behind the WR and it's incomplete. Kurt said I have no idea why he threw the ball when he did but if you do that in the NFL you will not play very long. It's so rare that you get a situation like that in the NFL when you get it you have to hit it, so to miss it in college with no pressure, was a real red flag.

I can't find the clip it's in a 25 minute study session he did on Beck don't feel like going through the whole thing but if you liked Brit's breakdowns of Kyler missing open plays you'll love this one he's sitting there absolutely perfect pocket and he throws the ball for no reason and if you watch the whole play it's a split second before the play gets wide open for a TD.

Sooner rather than later you need to play him to see what you have. Because you need to draft another QB in 2027 if he’s not the answer. I’ve never been a Beck guy, but now that you’ve drafted him, you have no choice but to play him.
The argument is that he is like 26 so you already know what you have.

Personally, I don't understand all the dislike for Beck on the forum here. I have not read all the reviews, postings, socials about him. So, I don't know what he has said or done off the field to take so much heat and dislike, of which some of it is pretty strong on here?
I also haven't watched too much of his films, etc.

Yesterday I did watch the one hour Jon Gruden presentation (first one I've ever watched) that he had with him. Most of the film was over my head (terminology, cursing which I dislike, etc.). I came away from it that Gruden was pretty impressed with him. I don't know how he compares to other Gruden qb interviews, though. I've also seen posts on here where K. Warner and someone else (?) apparently gave him good reviews.

I'm sure there is a ton of info out there (good and bad). I am a Cardinal fan and will give MO and MLF all my support on this pick.

Band standing over now. :newcards:

I don't think Kyler was forced out by media and fans. He was a great QB til he got to the pros/us. It didn't work out here. And that is the reason to let him go. Will it work out somewhere else? I hope so for Kyler.

We needed a QB and we got one. My main concern is the reports that he is a loner and stays to himself. We need a leader in the locker room, not a taller Kyler Murray.

And the Cardinals LOVE paying a lot for nothing. And I hate it. Would really LOVE for someone to pay me for doing nothing, lol.
Another lame answer? He didn’t work out here? Give me some meat and taters? He was exactly forced out by loud mouth media and fans, heard the radio, defending themselves as not one that drove km out of town, just yesterday. It was a damn lie - that show and every other was exactly responsible. We paying 57 million to the Vikings like village idiots. No way to hide from that shame.
For a talented, productive qb , so he was short- we already knew that, so he was hurt, everyone predicted that at his size. Change in coaching was a big enough fix- why in the world would release km too? Poor (night, poor judgement and made a poor decision. Notice how all the national media changed their tune after release and he CHOSE the Vikings? What a crap show -creating emergency. nobody feels sorry for that bird - self pity never did anything for no one.

There will be 10 other guys out there on the field so it isn't just about the QB. Jacoby made Michael Wilson some money, for example. So you don't just put Beck out there unless he is clearly better. Which he won't be.

That said, I think they play him a lot in the preseason.

No. I would start Brissett (or Minshew if Brissett holds out for more money) and if, as I expect, they are off to a bad start, then prepare Beck after the Bye Week whenever that is.

Of course, he could start earlier if the OLine gets Jacoby and/or Minshew killed by week 4 or 5 (being optimistic here).

Not about Kyler it’s about toxic media and fan base - like you
Yes it’s the fans fault that a dude made bad decisions on the field, pouted and wasn’t a great leader, and never seems to improve his play on the field. Lol. WOW. What a take.

Slanidrac, you ruined the Cardinals hopes.

Since the Cardinals are playing in the HOF game this year, we have 4 preseason games. Otherwise, we would be playing 3. Once the league goes to 18 games, and that’s likely coming soon, I believe they’ll go to 2 preseason games.

He also is in his prime with a huge contract and 3rd best cards qb in history. He is a good qb -
