GLENDALE – One of the loudest debates surrounding the Arizona Cardinals is the QB conversation surrounding Jacoby Brissett and Carson Beck. Arizona fans react to Carson Beck in OTAs:
Veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett, currently projected as the Cardinals’ starter, has been absent from voluntary workouts while seeking a contract extension and salary increase. While the organization may view the situation as standard business, fans are interpreting it differently. To many, Brissett represents a known ceiling and a veteran presence, but he isn’t likely the guy to lead the Cardinals to the playoffs. Beck represents possibility, and that distinction is becoming increasingly important in Arizona.

Brissett’s reputation around the league is well established. He is dependable, experienced, and capable of stabilizing an offense. But stability is not always what rebuilding fan bases crave. Cards supporters have lived through transitional football many times, and fans appear emotionally exhausted by their past answers at quarterback. Beck, meanwhile, offers intrigue. One OTA highlight does not guarantee future success, but fans are reacting less to the throw itself and more to what it symbolizes of hope, upside, and the chance to grow with a young quarterback instead of circling veteran stopgaps.
