Get drafted as the 16th best player in a draft, and people expect you to be doing better than barely hanging on. Weird huh?

My comment is about the grade he got. I’m shocked it was that high because he catches a lot of grief here.

Kind of shocking with all the grief Collins gets here.

1) Bill James used to say that a team's best players are always blamed first and loudest when a team underperforms. Collins is, I think, the highest-drafted player on the defense today, so he's going to take some heat after the team spent the offseason hyping him up.

2) The highest-graded player on a historically bad defense isn't saying much.

3) PFF grades are dumb and useless.

There's always a quibble between posters when we discuss "win now." Some people believe this means "win the super bowl." Some people think this means "compete for the playoffs."

We start trying to win in 2024 - no doubt.
I said in another post - I expect we will be around a .500 team and could potentially sneak into the playoffs.
2025 - We expect to be contenders

We tanked in 2023 - I don't think you can go from tank/our roster to super bowl contender in one year.
It's going to be tougher with Kyler's contract - it just is.
However, if he can continue to play at a high level, we will be dangerous.

Ok. So then the Cardinals are a "win now" team because that is their focus. If you are stating Henry would prefer to go to a title favorite...ok. That makes more sense.

Agree the path to a top five offensive is pretty straight forward! Retain what currently have, and upgrade the WR room. Nobody will be able to stop us!

But fixing the defense will be much harder though. That's why I'm pounding the table for maximum help on defense in both the draft and FA!

I'd look for Brooks in round 4 because of his injury, and redshirt him for the future.

Let's be honest, the only thing fans see edge players to is get sacks. It's the only thing that registers.

If they throw off a tackle and make a run stop, track a tight end for 20 yards in perfect coverage or seal the outside edge forcing a RB into the path of a LB it doesn't register.
