Dec. 19—PARKSTON, S.D. — Six games are slated for the 46th annual Parkston Basketball Classic on Dec. 30. All games will be played at Parkston High School.

The Platte-Geddes basketball programs will help tip off the games, with the Black Panther girls playing Viborg-Hurley at 11 a.m., followed by the P-G boys against Dakota Valley at 12:30 p.m.

At 2 p.m., the McCook Central/Montrose girls battle Dakota Valley, then the Winner boys square off with Parker/Marion at 3:30 p.m.

Both Parkston programs cap the action, starting with the Trojan boys hosting Sisseton at 5 p.m. Rounding out the schedule, the Parkston girls duel Corsica-Stickney at 6:30 p.m.

HURON — Two days of basketball action featuring 14 total contests is on tap for the Huron Holiday Classic, hosted Dec. 29-30 at the Huron Arena.

Girls basketball takes center stage on the first day of the event, starting with Kimball/White Lake versus James Valley Christian at 10:30 a.m. Howard plays Lower Brule at noon, followed by Burke against Chamberlain at 1:30 p.m. Faulkton Area and Jones County take the court at 3 p.m., with Wessington Springs matching up against Colman-Egan at 4:30 p.m. Clark/Willow Lake faces Kadoka Area at 6 p.m., and the nightcap features De Smet squaring off with Miller.

Tipping off the boys basketball action on Day 2, Mitchell Christian faces Faulkton Area at 10:30 a.m. Burke and James Valley Christian do battle at noon, with Langford Area versus Jones County up at 1:30 p.m. A matching pair from the girls games, Howard and Lower Brule meet in the boys event at 3 p.m., followed by Viborg-Hurley against Leola/Frederick Area. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket duels Chamberlain at 6 p.m., with a clash between Wessington Springs and Clark/Willow Lake as the 7:30 p.m. nightcap.
