Sure JC, just a victim of circumstance. Amazing that he continues to have issues! Again - the main point here is people seem to think he'll move the needle. Based on how he's played so far in his career, that's not the case. He's not going to move us from a play in team to a top 5 team.

Why risk it on a guy that like him? Why give up an unprotected 33 pick? Makes no sense.

I would be just fine if the trade did not happen. But blaming him for the present issue just does not jibe with the facts.

There are plenty of guys who throw up good stats on bad teams that make very little impact. I’ve always thought he was one of them on the court, even before he gave me reason not to like him off it.

Another way to look at it, the Suns should not be pressed to start three guard lineups like they did last season.

At times, Jordan Goodwin played the role of a power forward.

Now the Suns should have a plethora of power forwards, which should improve the team.

How that stacks up against other improved teams remains to be seen.

If we can get away from running 4 guards and a big as our only and best option, and just do it occasionally, that would be fantastic.

Above link indicates Bridges is in a contract year. He has all the reasons in the world to put his best foot forward. Hope the FO is not fooled. Typically with some players the contract year is an outlier. I heard Bridges can take plays off. Do not give him a ludicrous contract if Fleming and/or Peat can replace him in a year or two. Then we should look for sign and trade or just let him walk, if that gives us economic flexibility we lack.

This is what I learned by watching his game. He can definitely point forward some. He gives a lot more options.

whether you believe Bridges is a plus or minus on the court (a reporter said he was a minus last season), or whether you believe the community (and teammates) might not bond with him because of his off court behavior, this much is reasonable to agree on...

the Suns did not get a sufficient discount in acquiring him. It is a discount that will follow his career. When it comes time to trade him, other teams will demand that discount. We didn't. It's a high risk, bad deal. Similarly, however you believe the Durant debacle worked out, we can agree that we paid a significantly higher price in getting him than trading him 1.5 years later with him still near the top of his game.

sorry... only mostly atrocious teams, having never made the playoffs, and two painfully mediocre seasons where he made major impact on 43-39 teams... that also missed the playoffs. And most of the teams were downright AWFUL 20 something win teams.
