We don’t lose much shooting because Royce and Grayson were not going to play.We gain a lot of athleticism with this though and lose a lot of shooting.

also possibly because he doesn't add much on the court in a league where shooting and defense is a premium... and he brings neither to the table.it’s not a home run, but it is a double. He is clearly a better player than either of the guys we gave up. He should help our rebounding issue.
They don’t have many options to make the team better, we don’t have picks and we don’t have cap room. That leaves winning trades, and getting lucky on cheap free agents.
Why can we win this trade, because charlotte didn’t want to extend him, possibly because of his baggage.
He is not a bad rebounder. 6 rebounds a game is actually good in today’s game for a PF, and the year before he averaged 7.5.and he's a bad fit. He doesn't play defense. He's a bad rebounder and a bad 3 point shooter.
I do not get this move at all.
Also unlocked more tradable draft picks by adding the 29 1stI don't care about their grades. The Suns unloaded two contracts they didn't want for a flyer on a player they did want at a position of need.
He’s only a -.1 dpm, so he is pretty much a completely average defender.also possibly because he doesn't add much on the court in a league where shooting and defense is a premium... and he brings neither to the table.
Still blaming James Jones for this mess. Things were close to perfect before Ishbia came in.Whatever, but the Suns saved $20 million in the process. Those extensions James Jones gave Allen and O'Neale made the Suns have to play from behind.

Just not true he can shoot alittle also not a bad defender.also possibly because he doesn't add much on the court in a league where shooting and defense is a premium... and he brings neither to the table.
I didn't mind the figure on the extensions but the years and options were questionable. We have an owner willing to pay the tax and with all the dead money from Beal, we won't have real space for years so ultimately I don't view those deals as that big of negatives. Royce was always available and Allen was a decent contributer. Losing a 1st hurts, especially when it's for an average at best player like Miles. Throw in his off court issues and how the team wants to extend him, I don't expect to save that much and this deal hurts us longer given the 33 pick.
I thought Fleming was a pf.how so? he's going to be stuck behind Brooks and Bridges.
For Royce and Grayson, I didn’t see one and I looked. If this trade is a salary dump, surely there were cheaper options out there.

He’s a 3/4, he can really play either.I thought Fleming was a pf.
Yeah, that still leaves 25 to 30 minutes, which he will get the majority of.how so? he's going to be stuck behind Brooks and Bridges.
I think it’s clear now that Ishbia’s GM’s don’t have much power. Going back to the report by Woj that Ishbia got the KD deal done by doing the negotiating himself. The Miles Bridges fascination is pretty weird considering no other teams had interest in him. It's hard to separate the two though because their moves were intertwined.

I think Fleming can be on the floor next to either Brooks or Bridges. Fleming can defend and hit the three.how so? he's going to be stuck behind Brooks and Bridges.
Whatever anyone does think of Bridges personally, it does give the Suns at least some potential for being decent on the court next year... depending on how it impacts team chemistry, which is a BIG question mark. It's going to be hard to say for certain until other shoes potentially drop.
I think the roster as it was before the trade was dead in the water. There was no way that team wasn't backsliding in a big way due to terrible construction and injury risk. They now have what is somewhat closer to an actual starting lineup.
On the other hand, their front office (apparently driven by ownership) still seems utterly clueless about building on foundational talent and valuing the draft. It seems like they are inclined to doubling down on trying to take shortcuts with risky short term fixes and shots in the dark.
I just ate at Taco Bell last week. Can confirm. We weren’t going anywhere with our team as it sat last week. Are we better? Worse? I have no clue. Is there a magical roster that gets us into the top 5 in the west? Probably not.
I’m willing to see how it plays out. Because that’s what we do suns fans. (We just justify mediocrity)
It’s like when Taco Bell releases a new menu item. It Looks promising, but in end you pay for it with severe stomach issues.
Far from a burden. They are solid role players. The Ishbia regime is just terrible at managing assets. The Suns have always had interest in Miles Bridges, but it shows how burdensome those contracts of Allen and O'Neale were.

It's definitely not cheap anymore, cost wise. But almost nowhere is.I haven't eaten there in years. Too much money for what used to be a cheap meal.
