The Kansas high school boys golf state championship concluded on Wednesday, May 27. Five Shawnee County individuals qualified for day two of the tournament.

Washburn Rural and Cair Paravel qualified their entire teams for day one of the competition. The Junior Blues missed the cut by 19 shots, while Cair Paravel missed by two shots.

Here’s how each Shawnee County player finished after qualifying for day two action.

Class 6A​


Firekeeper Golf Course, Mayetta

  • T-22nd place: Higgins Hawks, Washburn Rural, 153, +9

Class 2A​


Quail Ridge Golf Course, Winfield

  • 2nd: Caleb Cleverdon, Cair Paravel, 149, +5
  • 5th: Jack Donovan, Rossville, 155, +11
  • 17th: Chase Hastert, Cair Paravel, 166, +22
  • 42nd: Austin Dohrman, Rossville, 187, +43
