SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — SDSU football is coming off of an unusual 9-5 season in 2025 with a second round exit in the FCS playoffs.
The Jackrabbits have won two national championships in five years. Head coach Dan Jackson joined the program in 2024 and although the ultimate goal at the helm is to bring another national title back to Brookings, the adversity his group faced in 2025 curated what he calls the “perfect” season to continue building.
“It was the perfect season because when you look back at our program, we didn’t wake up one day and win a national championship,” Jackson said. “It took time. It took effort. There was adversity. The foundation of our program was built on blue collar, tough, gritty guys that could see the vision before.”
Fall camp for the Jackrabbits begins on July 29, one month before the season begins.
