SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — SDSU women’s basketball has made its way to Forth Worth, Texas as the Jackrabbits gear up for the program’s 14th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
The team touched down in Texas earlier Wednesday afternoon. The Jackrabbits have reached the second round twice in the last three seasons. SDSU’s first trip to the Big Dance was in 2009 and it was in the same state. The Jacks played TCU that year, but the game was in Lubbock. SDSU won that game and reached the second round.
“We’re heading back to TCU, back to Texas that’s where our first NCAA Tournament was years ago. We had a good trip down there and so it’s fun to reconnect and head in the same direction,” head coach Aaron Johnston said.
SDSU will take on Washington Friday at 1:30pm in Schollmaier Arena.
