You should have been scouring the actor's guild list for talent like Philly is doing:

Philadelphia, PA, Sep 16, 2003 (The Sports Network via COMTEX) -- The
Philadelphia Eagles signed defensive tackle Frank Ferrara on Tuesday, one day
after learning that Paul Grasmanis is out for the season.

Ferrara spent the last two seasons with the Giants after they signed him as
rookie free agent in 1999. He was cut last month. Ferrara has tallied 32
tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and two forced fumbles in 25 games.

The 27-year-old has spent time doing stunt work for the HBO hit series "The
Sopranos."

"It's good to have a veteran player like Frank join us," said head coach Andy
Reid. "He'll get a chance to meet with the coaches over the bye week and learn
the defense. He'll also get an opportunity to practice with us the next couple
of days to get ready to play at Buffalo. He's a very aggressive player with a
high motor. We've had a chance to watch him up close the last couple of years."

Defensive tackle Grasmanis will have surgery Wednesday after he suffered a torn
left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the New England Patriots. The
team has placed him on injured reserve.

Grasmanis was injured while chasing down Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the
fourth quarter. He was then taken to the locker room on a stretcher.

The eight-year pro out of Notre Dame is one of many injured Eagles this season.
Philadelphia is already without All-Pro safety Brian Dawkins, Pro Bowl
cornerback Bobby Taylor and defensive ends Brandon Whiting, Derrick Burgess,
Jamaal Green and Jerome McDougle.

Easy, Skkorp. Did anyone say we should sign this guy? Eh, no. He doesn't compare to players like Bromell, who has decent numbers and is probably better than Wakefield. He doesn't compare to Coleman either.

So other people don't agree with you on us sitting on our hands, doing nothing and praying under our breath for the best. Is that any reason to post a purposefully inflammatory thread like this? I should say not!

Even though he may not be the best player, but if you have a need and the funds to fill that need you do it. It aslo means that you picked up the best guy out there and now if you competior has the same need he will have to take a lesser player and the cylce continues, to were your team will not have an option. Take your pick something or nothing.

We should sign The Rock to play MLB. He's big, fast and when he tackles someone and delivers the Rock Bottom, there aint no way they're getting back up. Plus it would help attendance since the millions, and I mean millions, of Rock fans would show up to every single game. As far as a mean streak ( this is a true story) when he played for the Hurricanes there was a big fight on the field between the two teams and he took off after the mascot and chased him up the stairs.

The Cardinals are 2003 Superbowl champs, if you smellllllllllllll what the Rock is cookin'!

Like I said in another post, Sean Gilbert, Mike Myers (inactive in Dallas), Christian Peter, Larry Smith, John Thierry, Kieth Washington(inactive in NY), Bernard Whittington, Eric Davis, TerryFair, DonovanGreer, Earthwind Moreland, Jimmy Spencer, Jeff Blackshear, Jeff Christy, Jumbo Elliot?, John Fina, Isaac Byrd, Darrin Chiaverini, Germane Crowell, The Ismail brothers, Brian Cox and Levon Kirkland are all free agents. Players can still be found to at least work out. I'm pretty sure 98% of these guys are still on the market. The inactive guys we might be able to trade a late-conditional pick for...

I don't know. Skkorp might be onto something.

Could the cast of "Playmakers" have done THAT much worse than we did last Sunday?

I guess we can sign Goldberg also to play on the defensive line and watch him deliver the spear to the oppositions QB. I believe he played for the Georgia Bulldogs and a limited time with the Atlanta Falcons.

Good to see you're feeling better Skkorp.

Not happy to see the same old crap. I like Rod Graves. I have maintained since draft day that we are going to use salary cap money to offset the extra cost of the MPF, due to political manuvering. I have no problem with this.

But don't BS me.

Don't tell me that Terrell Suggs was REALLY the 16th best player on our draft board.

Don't rationalize the failure to use 12 million dollars of our TV revenue allocated for players salaries, by claiming we've just eliminated "dead cap money."

Don't tell me we're better off with the players we've got, instead of signing available free agents.

Don't tell me we're going to use our interest earning unused cap money to re-sign our own free agents early...when in reality, at the end of the year, we'll claim they weren't good enough to re-sign. (poof, there goes the money)

Tell the truth. Players won't come here. I would imagine that when the new CBA negotiations start, the fact that the Arizona Cardinals couldn't FIND ANYONE to take our money, would strengthen the owners position, and further damage our perception in the minds of players.

Tell the truth. The arrangement at SDS has forced the team to act the way it has, to be a viable franchise while we transition to the new venue.

Try a little truth, it just might work.

I'd rather see Rhino.

I'd love to hear Pasch with the call...

Let's not stop there! Imagine a tackle tandem of "The Big Show" Paul White and Prince Albert! A combined weight of almost 800 pounds and each one is over 6'7 so we cut down some passing lanes right away!

Bring in Sean Gilbert and Rocket Ismail. See if they have anything left. If not, pay for their meal and call it a day.

Interesting list..I would bring in terry fair and jeff christie for physicals and workouts.. terry fair has injury issues - but he is a local guy (high school in az I think) and was a 1st round pick as a corner (but so was tom knight - but fair is better). we need a center and move grutts back.

Um...uh...actually, I did. I thought Ferrara flashed something in a backup DT role with the Giants.

That's not to say we should climb all over Graves every time some player hits the Transactions column of our daily paper.

I do notice, however, that Rod is cutting back his appearances on From the Bleachers (which is understandable - if you have nothing worth saying, why go on the air?)

But I do feel puzzled and frustrated Cardinal fans have been hung out here to wonder: "What's going on here? The team is 0 & 2, having given up 80 points. Are we so good that no outside moves could improve the team?"

I'm sure a better response than stone-silence from the Cardinal front office on this issue would be much appreciated.
