That's too bad. My condolences to his family.

I remember meeting Gedney on a morning weekday practice in Flagstaff. There were not more than 30 fans watching. After practice, he came by, shook my hand, and we talked for a couple of minutes. A really nice guy.

Wow I wonder what happened. Very young.

He had ulcerative colitis. He had a major surgery removing a large part of his colon and the Cards released him.

That disease is uncurable. Colitis does kill.

That said, that is just my guess. No cause of death has been stated as far as I can tell.

This is what I have. Was diagnosed with it in my early 20's. Meds have kept it under control. RIP Chris.
