The first of two Arizona men’s basketball players in the NCAA transfer portal has reportedly found a new home.
Former Arizona forward Sidi Gueye is transferring to Santa Clara, Jonathan Givony of Draft Express shared Monday night. Gueye entered the portal shortly after it opened.

Gueye becomes the second Wildcats player to transfer to Santa Clara in recent years, joining Adama Bal, who played the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons at Arizona before transferring. Bal currently plays for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Gueye, a native of Senegal, appeared in 26 games in his freshman season at Arizona. He averaged 1.3 points and 0.8. His career high in scoring came against Kansas State on January 7, when he scored five points. Gueye had had four points and four rebounds in Arizona’s win over BYU on February 16, a game when the Wildcats were without Koa Peat.
While Gueye knows where he’s playing next season, former Arizona wing Dwayne Aristode is still undecided on his transfer destination.
Tuesday is the last day for players to enter the protal.
