Euro Tommy is back at it.
Arizona men’s basketball landed a commitment Friday from Montenegrin forward Maksim Brnović, a 6-foot-10 18-year-old who recently played for Lithuanian pro team Žalgiris II. Brnović’s commitment bolsters Arizona’s front court for the 2026-27 season and leaves one remaining scholarship.
Jonathan Givony of Draft Express confirmed Brnović’s commitment on Friday. Wildcat Authority previously reported Brnović has signed with the program.

Brnović has demonstrated he can shoot from the perimeter. At the Adidas Next Generation Tournament with developmental team Žalgiris, he made 10 of 21 three-point attempts over five games.
Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd developed a reputation as an assistant at Gonzaga for landing heralded European prospects. He’s carried that reputation to Arizona, with this year’s offseason roster haul being no exception.
Brnović joins incoming freshman Endurance Aiyamenkhue (Germany) and Nebraska transfer Ugnius Jarusevicius (Lithuania) as the latest Europeans to play for Arizona. The UA returns Motiejus Krivas (Lithuania) and Ivan Kharchenkov (Germany), both of whom are expected to start next season.
Brnović is also one of four new big men joining the program, along with Aiyamenkhue, Jarusevicius and Idaho State transfer Evan Otten.
Arizona is expected to dole out one more roster spot, ostensibly at the power forward position.
