If the Boston Celtics are not actively shopping star forward Jaylen Brown, they are reportedly still taking trade calls from other ball clubs around the NBA, per recent reporting from ESPN contributors Ramona Shelburne and Jamal Collier. Per the ESPN duo, Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens and the rest of the front office are still taking calls for Brown after the failed pursuit of Milwaukee Bucks star big man Giannis Antetokounmpo.

"Ultimately, though the Celtics were willing to part with Brown, they weren't willing to also include young prospects Hugo Gonzalez and Baylor Scheierman to land Antetokounmpo, a decision that has put them in an awkward situation with Brown," they write.

"Multiple sources say the team is still engaging in trade discussions for the five-time All-Star," add the ESPN reporters.

"Says one league source: 'It'd be insane for Boston to bring him back after dangling him so publicly,'" share Shelburne and Collier. "Says another: 'I wouldn't do a damn thing. Those two guys are so good, you can't just trade Jaylen because it's awkward. Make everyone come back and figure it out.'"

Keep in mind much negotiation takes place though the media at this time of the league calendar, but based on the preponderance of reports we have been hearing around the Association on Brown's potential trade availability, there seems to be some substance worth keeping tabs on here.
