I would take a papa John’s supreme pizza …a third round pick and jj mcarthy at this point…nothing personal against Kyler but man it’s time for somebody else to take over…who is Benjamin allbright? Johnny v says that gentleman claimed “ Kyler won’t be back” …speculation is the Vikings may call ….johnny thinks we can get a 1….i bout spit my beer out

Presumably the same guy who said we were trading for a RB that hasn't happened yet

It's odd that they went from looks like Kyler will start to JB starting but that doesn't guarantee anything.

Minnesota is the obvious team, definite playoff team without a proven starter but not clear to me they would do it now, they already had their bye week so if they make a deal they're bringing in a guy who hasn't played in weeks to a completely different offense.

IF there was real discussion going on between the Cards and others -- IMO there would be far, far more rumors out there

the reason is that any trade has to involve making changes to Kylers contract -- even if its the Cards paying some chunk of next years guaranteed money in the form of a bonus this year

that would require talking to Murray's agent, etc --- and the word would be out there

Anything of value for Kyler, but the Cards want a haul for him. IMO.

@Ouchie-Z-Clown here is one of many examples I mentioned.
He literally say brissett isn’t a long term answer which infers he recognizes he isn’t starter material. Again, the fact he believes he’s better than Kyler is an indictment on Kyler.

But mea culpa: I’ve lost the topic on our specific conversation and I’m not interested enough to scroll back and reset.

there's no reason to trade kyler today - you have to see if brissett can do it for a 3rd time - you also have to see if any teams lose their starting qb this week (or next)

the only way we'll get "a haul" for murray - the only way we'll get another team to cover his contract - it would have to be one desperate ass team - period - i don't know if such desperateness exists

Would they sit him because a deal is already in place? Cant risk additional injury?
This would make sense… but I doubt it. This FO and Coaching Staff for whatever reason still has “smartest guy in the room” syndrome

Trading Kyler gives Monti and JG at least another year. This year would be a wash considering they're starting Brissett, so the expectations are lowered dramatically.
Might even give them 2 years since they'd be starting with a new QB next year. Probably a smart move on Monti's part to give him more time.

He literally said JB is a better QB. And you said NO ONE is making thst claim. Funny how when given examples. Your memory is fuzzy about it. Just most posters to ignore on here.

gannon said something yesterday i think slipped by a lot of folks

reporter asked if there's a chance kyler could still end up on ir

gannon basically said he hoped not but didn't rule it out

this ****** me up when i heard it as it makes murray un-tradeable - trade deadline is november 4th - if that's where murray is arizona is where murray stays

gannon kills me - is playing brissett a football decision or is kyler truly out of commission

I think we'll know the answer to this question on Tuesday night. Only the shadow knows.

Why wait a week to do the deal then? He’s more valuable sitting in the owners box or whatever for a week and learning the coaching staff and his new teammates.

Should probably extend them both immediately if they trade Kyler TBH

The cap hit is better next offseason.

The way I see it, I can see the argument for keeping Monti bc he did his job and signed JB.

For Gannon on the other hand, it’s quite damning that he’s still losing with a quality backup like JB, I actually think it’s his death sentence if he loses 3 straight with JB and 6 straight overall. It busts the myth that Kyler was holding him back. On top of that your a defensive HC and the defense is awful despite only investing on that side of the ball in the offseason.
