I thought the same thing. In fact when watching another PS game it was pointed out that the Umpire (I believe) is now stationed in the offensive backfield, and the TV announcer, maybe John Gruden, said that he hoped this didn't result in more holding calls.

Before the game Wolfley said w/ the change in officiating positions, he expects there to be an all time high in FS's this year. That really made me cringe.

IIRC Wolfley also thought the OL needs to learn new techniques to hold now as the umpire will be behind the OL 15 yards off the LOS, so it might be more difficult for the umpire to see a hold because the umpire is further away and the OL's body will be between the umpire and defender.

The umpire goes back to his normal position during the last two minutes to facilitate spotting the ball faster.
