The Carolina Panthers' regular-season schedule got quite a bit lighter on Monday.

Earlier this afternoon, the Cleveland Browns—Carolina's Week 3 opponent for the upcoming campaign—traded two-time Defensive Player of the Year and five-time first-team All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams. So, luckily for their offensive line, the Panthers won't have to deal with the NFL's premier sack artist during in 2026.

We've now also learned that they won't have to face one of the league's top wideouts either.

The Philadelphia Eagles—Carolina's Week 6 opponent—have officially announced the move of receiver A.J. Brown. Brown, as expected, will head off to the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick.

Brown was a three-time second-team All-Pro and Super Bowl LIX champion with the Eagles. The 28-year-old is set to reunite with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, Brown's head coach in Tennessee from 2019 to 2021.

His last matchup against the Panthers came during the 2024 campaign, in a narrow 22-16 Eagles win. Carolina held Brown to 43 yards on four catches.
