There was a time when the Super Bowl was essentially over by halftime. The game between the Broncos and Redskins was 35-10 at the half. SB 20 was 23-3 at the half and 44-3 at the end of the 3rd quarter. 49ers/Broncos was 27-3 at the half. First Dallas/Bills game was 28-10. SF/SD was 28-10. At least this game was close and in doubt until the Patriots kicked the FG to go up 13-3. Those other games were so laughable that some people turned them off. I don't know about you but I don't ever want to see another Super Bowl where the winning team scores 55 and wins by 45 points. I don't want to see Arena games like last years either.

I enjoyed this game thoroughly. It wasn't like our game where the offense simply sucked. This was elite defensive chess and a thriller to watch. Tony Romo helped too with how he would point out the exact things that were being done that wee dismantling the offenses.

Last years game was fine too.

Blowouts are boring. Anything competitive, I'm all in.

I think most of us ( unless it's our team) looks forward to a competitive game which this was. Now if the Cardinals were playing I wouldn't care if we were blowing our opponent out 50-0 at half time....and even if we were I'd still be worried..LOL!

Blowouts no (unless it’s the cards winning), arena bowl fun sure.

I don’t mind blowouts in the Super Bowl because it solidifies the team that wins is the best in the league. I know the NFL legally classifies itself as entertainment but I watch for the sport, not for the drama.

What was so frustrating about this Super Bowl was that while the Rams (on paper) had the better team, the Patriots dominated the game without putting points on the board.

The Rams never held a lead. At halftime, the Patriots had 195 yards compared to the Rams 57 yards. They had 20 minutes of TOP, Rams only had 10.

It really felt like the Pats just kept it close on purpose until the end.
