Good morning. The NHL offseason is officially underway. Some notes:
* buyout window opens 48 hours after end of final, thru Jun 30
* Draft, of course, is Jun 26-27 in Buffalo
* RFA qualifying offers due June 29 at 5pm ET
* Free agency: noon ET July 1, as always
* eligible RFAs can file for arbitration by Jul 5 (5pm), hearings Jul 20 - Aug 1

Breaking: John Tortorella will not return to the Vegas Golden Knights' coaching staff following the 2025-26 season, GM Kelly McCrimmon announced.

Tortorella took over Vegas in late March and led the team to the Stanley Cup Final before falling to Carolina.
