Yeah the missed PI against Diggs on that last drive when they showed the replay the DB was holding his jersey and the ref standing right there wasn't even looking at the ball he was looking somewhere else for some reason.
and the refs keep blowing calls into Sunday night football. it's just odd how they turn a blind eye so much and then yet they will call the most innocuous penalty that has no impact on a play. then with the game on the line they try to use the excuse that we don't want to get involved. it's ridiculous how phony they are.

THis was interesting in one of those fantasy football updates, Austin Ekeler hasn't topped 15.5 MPH all year according to Nex Gen stats. On one of his runs last week he was clocked at 13 MPH, which was slower than one of the OL's blocking for him. Ekeler is only 28 and the number of runs where he hits at least 15 MPH is down 38% for him this year from last year.

Ekeler hit over 20 in a game in oct of 2022 which was the first time he'd done that since he had Covid in Dec of 2021. Apparently that's why he had a contract issue this offseason, the Chargers were concerned the combination of him at 28 with his load might be wearing him out. Even after he hit 20 in Oct 22 they saw a clear dropoff in speed the rest of the year, caught from behind in several games, and they were concerned it was a year past him having had Covid and maybe it wasn't just coming off Covid, maybe his workload had caught up with him.

So his fastest MPH last year was 4.5 MPH faster than his fastest this year!

Wow. Tucker just missed from 44 yards with less than 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Bloom is definitely off the rose with Herbert. An elite QB can’t lose 8 consecutive games by 3 points or less. Great QBs get the team over the hump and bad coaching at least a couple times in that stretch.

This is an example of why drafting a rookie is a depressing thought. Are any of the guys this year going to be as good as Herbert? Then, even if they are, they are just good enough to break your heart.

Yeah… but maybe they’re good? Going with definitely not good isn’t gonna do any good so might as well keep firing darts against the board, IMO.

I mean… if Kyler looks like this the rest of the season, and that makes two straight seasons where he looks bad, even with different coaching and personnel, there’s ZERO reason to hope for anything better next season.

If we draft a QB… maybe we get lucky? Yes. That is where we might be if this is the level of play we continue to see from Kyler.

We got lucky with Warner and Palmer. Guys who were basically written off. They were the two best QBs we have had in Arizona and nothing like that seems remotely possible. The only other time we sniffed great QB play was Plummer and Murray. And, it will probably wind up the same way, with Murray going off to another team and having a few good seasons somewhere else.

So, I am not optimistic we draft the next Mahomes, Burrow or Allen. But maybe we are due?

Oh… I’m not optimistic we’re gonna get the next one of those guys either. But there’s always dumb luck there. But if this is what Kyler looks like the rest of the year, there’s no amount of luck that can make next year tolerable which sucks even optimism based on luck out of the equation.

watch them play kick the can... trade away our pick to acquire a first next year...make the picks building around kyler...but have draft capital to move up in 2025 if there is a guy you covet... in the mean time kylers financial hit gets easier to manage.

LOL… anyone see Peterson’s “tackle attempt” on that third down play? Had the dude dead to rights and basically dove in the other direction to totally whiff on the tackle.

These teams on Monday night very Cardinalesque. Vikings because they’ve only run 3 plays for -7 yards. Bears because they’ve had the ball for almost the entire game and only have 3 points.
