Bears rankings not too bad once they upgraded head coach

For me a couple things made it easier to beat the Cardinal Curse:

1) Michael Bidwill hosting a certain political rally funeral hosted at a tax payer-funded stadium (gross)
2) failing to cover the 8 point spread against Tennessee in the most inept embarrassing fashion imaginable

Raiders drafting top-2 takes them out. I’d be thrilled with a 2nd rounder from Cleveland, Atlanta, Miami or Pittsburgh on the first day of the league year.

KM gets traded after June 1st for a conditional pick, mid rounds, 2nd or 3rd, Cardinals eat a fair portion of his salary to make this work, that's my prediction.
I see the Cards getting a 4th or 5th round pick for Murray But I like part of your take on it ! !
Most people posting on the board thought Petzing needed to go at the end of last season. Remember posting way early in the season when they were still in it, that if Monti and JG were willing to tie their ropes to Petzing then they weren't gonna stay in their jobs long.
Making NO excuses for Murray’s play ( at times he was really bad ) but this season did prove that there are alot of things wrong with this team

Hard to predict what’s going to happen because so many parts are intertwined.

I could see a guy like McCarthy come here and actually accept Murray as our qb. Crazy? Well Murray is still on this team until he isn’t. It sure would make Bidwill happy.
Cardinals could and should draft a potential QBOTF should Murray fail again under his 3rd head coach.
If

If Gannon stays is more likely Murray is gone but not 100%. “ We didn’t bench Kyler. We didn’t want to risk further injury and jeopardize his career”. Kiss and make up while bringing in a new OC.

I don’t think Murray has any desire to be here anymore

I'm not sure who you're quoting (bolded), but that's not what Gannon said. I heard the live interview on 98.7 when it was first announced and Gannon told Gambo, " even if Kyler Murray was healthy, he was going to make the decision to go to Jacoby Brissett as the starting QB". That is the definition of benching.

When he said that, Gambo was speechless. And we know how rare that is. :D

It was a hypothetical statement that Gannon could use to public support his decision.
Murray is under contract. If we don’t trade him, he has two choices… play here or “retire”. He can demand a trade but that would complicate things although that would give the Cardinals a little bargaining power.

What a crap storm.

I would much rather roll Gannon back and cut Kyler than have it be the reciprocal.

Kyler needs to move on. I think he has a chance to do great things, but it won’t be here. He’s been here 7 years.

Gannon should be allowed to pick his own QB.

Im inclined to extend Gannon. Even though the teams record with Jacoby at the helm has been dog water, it’s been noticeably more effective.

This gd franchise needs a 10-15 yr rebuild of everything. It’s fun to blame players and coaches, look at only the right now, etc., but this organization needs a comprehensive audit.

That was like a three week sample size. As soon as the change at QB took root, everyone else in the league adjusted and we became inept executors of a crap offense once again. I would not extend Gannon to allow him to draft his own QB. His staff sucks, what has he shown that makes you comfortable allowing him say on the next several years of our lives watching this moribund franchise?
