Exactly. There's nothing wrong with OBJ from an ability perspective. I expect on the right team he would be a top 5 WR again.

I don't see him with Mahomes though. OBJ wants to be the man, and with Tyreek there he can't be that. Somewhere like the Colts, Ravens, Raiders, Pats, and Falcons would be good fits. Teams with good QB's but weak WR's.
I think Mahoms is able to get him just involved enough. Part of the problem with the Chiefs is that its Hill/Kelce or bust.

I would like to see him on the Ravens but they just drafted a 1st round wr. Not sure they do it. Everything seems to point to the Raiders. Maybe the Saints if Jameis didnt get injured.

When he get's released....... the Lions should take him. haha

Chiefs, Rams, Bengals, Steelers, or Vikings.

That's my guess.

p.s. I would take him.
It would depend what Keim plans to do with Kirk/AJ Green. If he already has plans on locking up Kirk then its probably best not to sign OBJ. If he thinks Kirk will be tough to resign then yea you might try and do it. Especially since they've got Rondale Moore on training wheels this year.

I would want him as well. Especially because I fear what the offense could look like if Hopkins has a nagging hamstring all year.

Still we're probably one of the least likely to sign him.

Baker Mayfield also sucks.
I’m not arguing that at all. But many top flight WRs put up far better numbers then 3.9 and 53 when healthy with shittier QBs then BM.

Someone asked "why the Bengals"? My answer is this:

They are a hopeful division winner, the team loves to throw the ball around, Burrow & Chase are LSU guys, he may come cheap, and he may want to screw the Browns.

I think Kyler would make him one of the most dangerous deep guys in the game. And it COULD give us flexibility if we decide to move on from Kirk.

All depends on the long term price he would cost.

But yeah...... He also has proven to be all about himself. A ton of those guys went on to be HOF'ers elsewhere.

Moss in Oakland is a good example.

Oh crap...... He could go to Tampa. haha

3.9 catches and 53 yards a game over last 3 seasons if and when healthy which is rare.

That’s not getting OBJ Into the hall. A lot of love for a malcontent still living off his first 4 years in the NFL 4 years later.

I was surprised when I heard that he's only 29 years old. He's been less than average in Cleveland and been injured a lot. I'd pass on him.

In games he’s actually Healthy and playing hes 3.9 catches and 53 yards a game?

Yet people are fawning over this guy? Still? SMH

* with the Browns

The Brown's run the ball a lot and Mayfield sucks. It's well known he's been getting open and Mayfield hasn't been targeting him. It's pretty much the root cause of the whole situation.

Of course not. But his time in NY was a hall level performance.

I do believe baker Sucks. I do believe the Stefanski offense doesn't support his game.

I do believe Eli was just barely above the average NFL QB when OBJ was in NY.

I do believe Kyler can unlock OBJ if he allows himself to blend in to the unit (something he hasn't proven to be capable of).

Of moot points this is the mootest. He's not coming here regardless. that's my take.

Time after time this season it has pointed out that Rondel, Kirk, Green and Hop have been wide open for long TDs and Kyler just doesn’t see them and throws it elsewhere.

If that’s the case I’m not seeing how that would help OBJ unlock anything. If anything he would probably become disgruntled and get mad at Kyler and cause a rift for not seeing him and getting him the ball.

In NY he was:
44 TD's in 59 games.
1k receiving yards in 4 of 4 full seasons.
8.8 yds per target

But like JJ, he's been injured a lot. Only played more than 7 games twice in 5 years.

Again.... Moot point. We don't have the money for this. We need a DLineman to pull a stunt like this. Does someone know Akiem Hicks's dad?

I think this is you just trying to defend your point rather than making a point.

time after time on deep balls? this year?

Kyler is the #1 deep ball accuracy QB in the league. By like 15 percentage points if I remember correctly. And has completed more passes over 20 yards than anyone else or something like that.

And that's with a 2-deep safety look and mostly zone coverage in his face to defend the run.
The dude has turned multiple corners this year.

I’m not denying that when he does throw deep hes special at it. 100% true.

But multiple times on this board this season we have been shown we have had open WRs for easy TDs. People have screen shot them and listed them. People on Twitter have posted about it and been shared here. Heck during games the announcers have said it.

So if that was OBJ on those plays the sour pussed OBJ we know? How do you think he would have handled being wide open and not getting the rock sent his way?

Hey if you guys want to fawn all over OBJ of half a decade ago and multiple surgeries ago be my guest. He’s not that guy anymore.

Honestly though if the team wanted him they could do it. Money and cap are an excuse there always a way.

I guess this is fun to discuss bc there’s likely 0% chance he’s coming here or we want to sign him. We have hop, aj, Kirk, and Rondale and a terrific receiving TE. Keim ain’t looking to bolster the receiving corps.

I agree that OBJ is not a likely option for Arizona. That said OBJ still has plenty of juice in the tank if he can get on a team with a QB who can get him the ball. Best options in terms of scheme and QB and roster.

Buffalo
Indy
KC
Las Vegas
Green Bay

Rams if they want to upgrade over Van Jefferson. Cardinals because I think he is better than AJ Green and Kirk. Both teams use 3 WR so much that he works.
