Hopefully we can put the coup de gras on the Arch Manning hype train next week.

The OU defense likes to get after the QB a little bit.

I remember watching the Texas spring game when Arch was an incoming freshman. I was super hyped to see this generational phenom, but came away with this “boy I hope he was just really nervous” kind of vibe. Everything was just really awkward. He would scramble to his right and then just at the last moment throw a laser to a receiver like 2-3 yards in front of the line of scrimmage. Nothing looked like this is the next big thing?

yeah,...at this point it is pretty much a certainty that Arch stays in school another year.
would be a really bad decision to try to go pro right now... unless he flips a switch and really kills it in the playoffs

Arch stinks. This thread should be closed. He's not worth a thread.
The OSU QB, Sayin is the guy.

The Bama QB is legit too.

Arch should get his insurance license.

I think there is potential for Arch to grow. He probably had his best game of the year against Florida, but he's still making some bad decisions under pressure. he took a couple of sacks late that he couldn't afford to take. The offensive line play at texas is as bad as its been in a very long time as they have a very young group there. they could not run the ball against florida and that really put a lot of pressure on Arch.

Should be a good game if OU's QB doesn't return. The texas defense gave up a lot on the ground to Florida and they got burned by Florida's five-star freshman WR core. Probably a low scoring game? but then again any time I think that it ends up being a shoot out.

I'm not totally down on Manning. I think another year in college would help develop him more.
Agree. It ain't like 1 year as a starter means he has to go pro.
Come back next year...then if needed, come back for another

I agree, I think people are giving up on him too early. on the opposite end people crowned him too early as well. He's going to have to earn it and distinguish himself from his uncles.

Today was always going to be a hard game for Manning. I thought it was his best game of the year when you consider the defense he was up against. Sark called a good game, but the texas O-line and RB Wisner played a lot better this week which for me was the difference. It gave Manning a chance to make some plays on third downs.

oof. Manning outplayed Mateer by a mile, which was a little surprising, but I thought the UT defense played a great game too.

Beating OU is one way to earn a little goodwill with the UT faithful, so Manning helped himself some today. He looked pretty good.

Still not sure if he'll play on Sundays though. Hard to play QB in the NFL.
