Can't wait to see the latest from PTA. Have always loved me some pregnant ladies with machine guns. ;) Sounds about right for Arcata and Eureka where some scenes were filmed, not far from the State of Jefferson where I live.

That looks great.

Is it weird that I got a hybrid PTA/Wes Anderson vibe?
Hmmm… didn’t feel Anderson vibes at all. Maybe because Del Toro is in both PTA and Anderson’s next two movies and those trailers are both playing at the same time?

Um, what? No, it was mostly the editing, the short pieces of dialogue that really did it.

Interesting. Didn’t get that feeling at all. Also at this point, Wes’ movies/trailers have much more whimsy to them while not looking like they even take place on this planet anymore.

This definitely looks more like PTA working in Inherent Vice mode where he’s going a little screwball, yet violent comedy.

I wasn’t the biggest Vice fan and appreciated Thread for its craft while
not falling in love with it, but I thought Licorice Pizza was a nice rebound from those two movies and PTA plus DiCaprio is a combo too awesome not to get excited about.
