Based on? Still had an arm for deeper balls when Hop was here.
For starters playing for a competent organization, a very competent HC, a very QB friendly system, and very nice weapons on the offensive side of the ball. It’s basically impossible for them to not win double digit games. I was shocked for as terrible as they were last year they still won 9 games. Kyler is going straight back to the playoffs. Now once he gets there, we’ll see how he performs under the pressure.

What makes his system QB friendly? Please elaborate? As a HC the guy has had two very good years and two mediocre to bad years in Minny. That's a 50/50 proposition the guy has 1 playoff win in 4 seasons with this great organization. Now All of a sudden Kyler Murray the guy we have all watched regress and be mediocre AF the last 4 years is gonna push them over the top? I'll believe it when I see it.

We’ll see how elated Jefferson is when he’s wide open 30 yards downfield and Kyler bails out of a clean pocket and throws it to the check down or is sacked for a loss.
Actually I think km did well overall. Just never stepped up in the rb heavy system- without a running back. Think what you want - but he is still 3rd all time cardinal, over Palmer and Warner in many categories. I think fan pressure and wrong minded media pushed him out.
He is better than Jacoby and any other qb available.
Stupid to pay him that much and not have the new coach to decide on the field.

Its not a system. I mean you can try to run the spread and get a bunch of checkdowns / 4 yard scrambles against the shell.

Murray needs / requires a clean pocket. Top 4 QB with a clean pocket, #31 without.

It is an issue on both sides. Murray gets happy feet/cant read a blitz...the Cardinals didn't invest in the offensive line. Chicken and Egg

Yeah so year 1 - and Kirk Cousins 11th season. They win 13 games, most in Cousins career and he throws for over 4500 yards…He had only done this once prior in his tenured career.

Year 2 - Cousins tears his Achilles and they finish with a losing season.

Year 3 - Sam Darnold puts up career numbers, even better than his numbers this year in Seattle in every measurement - TDs, INTs, yards, rating.

Year 4 - the organization started JJ in essentially his rookie season and it didn’t go as planned, yet the team still had a winning record.

I don’t believe K1 is the kind of player to “put them over the top”. But I do believe he will do well when not a part of a dysfunctional franchise and coaching staff.

An effective running back - we didn’t have one break 400 yards last year in a run first system, blame it on km all you want, no qb I know has been successful in that situation. Ever? The coaches had to go - they had the running backs in line , but broke early and often, from the time of the stupid showboating costing to and game- sheet went far far south.

O'Connell didn't get the moniker of "QB Whisperer" for nothing. That doesn't mean he will definitely turn Kyler around, as evidenced by JJ McCarthy, but the guy does have a track record of getting the most out of his QBs.

Kyler actually has everything except one thing, height. Don't see it working at all. Even this dysfunctional organization gave him every opportunity with various schemes to combat his height disadvantage, and he was unable to produce. Sucks, but apparently below 5'10 is the cutoff
...and a litany of other shortcomings, no pun intended.

We’ll see how elated KM is when Jefferson, wide open, 30 yards downfield, doesn't drop a pass that hits him in the chest.

JJ McCarthy is a virtual rookie with bad mechanics they're trying to fix.
