It’s a fair point but yeesh.
They were paranoid that someone would jump ahead and take Downs because Miami was shopping their pick. The cowboys wanted downs and one other player, I assume one of the OSU linebackers. A lot of people thought that the cowboys were willing to move up even higher to take downs. the glaring weakness of the cowboys defense now is linebacker.

he probably got hog tied and mouth taped. thank god for that because the player they wanted ended up falling to them. and in the end jerry got to make his deal from 12 to 11 with his handlers watching over him.
he was one player I was intrigued by. someone I know compared him to former cowboys OT T. Smith. That is a rare type of strength and athletic ability.
