The only thing I really like about today's draft from a Cards perspective is that we can't draft Simpson. :p
Otherwise, I dislike taking a running back at 3 and am irked about all the good offensive tackles already being taken and the Cards got none of them. :bang:
This is exactly why I wanted us to trade down. Love may be great but he won't be enough to overcome the pitiful oline. As always sucks to be a Cardinals fan.
For everyone who was surprised that all the OTs were taken then in round 1 then you lose your draft opinions going forward.
That includes you Monti. I don't care how weak the trade offers were you needed to pick one.

I understand the joy and excitement fans of the Love pick are feeling. I simply disagree with the roster building plan. Love will supply some fun plays and highlights. Not sure it will increase the wins total.
I guess some want some splash plays over a plan to produce enough wins to make the playoffs.
Hope the increase in ticket and merch sales helps this team get into the playoffs.

Some of my disagreement. One of the big issues last year was we had no speed at all, once Benson went down by far the fastest guy on the field was Kyler, when he got hurt we were incredibly slow. that and the offense meant we had to go down the field methodically with 10 plus play drives to score

The total lack of speed meant we never had quick scoring drives, the more plays we had to run the more likely someone would screw up, a turnover, a penalty, a missed block etc.

Love isn't going to turn us into a great offense but he will give us the ability to get quicker scores.

Agree, we were a slow plodding team which needed perfect blocking to get 10 yards. While our OL still needs work we now have a guy that perhaps doesn’t need perfect blocking all the time to get downfield

If there wasn’t a great offer to trade down then he had to make a pick—Bailey gone—no one thought OL was good enough—so I say good job taking best player in draft

Now we have to make an OL pick here and I am great with 1 of the 2 OGs—that would give us 4 of 5 above average OL—we have a supposed stud at blocking TE. If MLF can’t scheme a good to great running game with that then he won’t be here long

On record that cards need a run game before they ever consider a forward pass. Jim brown said the running back makes the offensive line famous, not the other way around.

Would love to see Love be all around back like my all time favorite Leroy Kelly - who won punt return championships prior to rushing championships.

Running back injuries and failure was the main reason team failed last year, Kyler nor Jacoby ever had a chance, in the run first offense.

Media and fans act like it was a side dish, when it was the main course. Flipping the ball arrogantly before crossing the goal line - deserved to get the staff fired. Quicksand sucked the whole team into deep muck it’s -

Jacoby had great numbers , play - and lost all but the dallas game. Yay for that! But nothing illustrates my point more- it wasn’t a Kyler problem it was a failed run game.

I’m not sure love is the savior, but the rb room as a whole could allow the team to compete in the nfcw - if we can compete there- cards can compete anywhere.
