They were paranoid that someone would jump ahead and take Downs because Miami was shopping their pick. The cowboys wanted downs and one other player, I assume one of the OSU linebackers. A lot of people thought that the cowboys were willing to move up even higher to take downs. the glaring weakness of the cowboys defense now is linebacker.
