ATLANTA — The Mets will be featuring a new-look lineup as they look to secure a series split against the Braves on Monday night.
Interim manager Andy Green will be getting Francisco Lindor off his legs by placing him as designated hitter and working in Ronny Mauricio at shortstop. A.J. Ewing will be in the leadoff spot for the second time in his major league career.
The club is hoping that they can carry over some offensive momentum as they close out their four-game series with the Braves at 7:15 p.m. at Truist Park.
The Mets needed all 10 of their runs on Sunday afternoon to secure a 10-9 victory and snap a three-game losing streak as the Braves poured on six runs in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Freddy Peralta will be looking to correct course on Monday night after allowing five earned runs or more in two of his last three starts. He enters the night with a 5-7 record, 4.82 ERA and 1.42.
Peralta and the Mets will be facing veteran right-hander Reynaldo Lopez, who carries a 4-1 record, 3.31 ERA and 1.30 WHIP into his eighth start and 21st appearance of the season.
