I would have used 1-800-BID-SLOW for the double entandrexc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

I mean, the Raiders are always, always going to have a stadium full of opposing fans.Raiders have potential with fresh QB and some talent. Ownership is a wash.
Pete shouldn't have come back. He's toast. Raiders made a mistake. Hawks knew it and let him walk and now they are back in the SB.
Patriots are also back in the SB a few years after firing their hall of fa....errr regular coach.
Raiders are infinitely more attractive, but true no one knows his mindset.
"The Raiders plan to interview Seattle OC Klint Kubiak over the weekend and then make a decision on their head coach, per sources. As one candidate predicted, 'it’s probably (Kubiak’s) job to lose,'" wrote ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Yes, if they end up with LeFleur or Kubiak in the end, I won't be disappointed. However, the problem with waiting so long is it hinders their ability to put together a competent staff around the new HC. JG was hired on Valentine's Day and consequently put together the most inexperienced/green staff we've seen in a long time. This absolutely is a disadvantage. That is also where I am at. I still don’t understand why it matters who hires first? Did you guys really dream about Jeff Hafley or Jesse Minter? Todd Monken or Mike McCarthy? When this all started I had four favorites, and three of them are still not hired by anyone, and all three will even have had second interviews.
I wanted them to hire LaFleur right away, but I think it is obvious that Kubiak has been the preferred option all along. A pure guess is that he was for many teams going into this cycle, but either other candidates blew those teams away, or they just didn’t want to wait for Kubiak.
And then people act like it is a sure thing that any coach would prefer the Raiders. What if the candidate doesn’t like Mendoza? What if the candidate is scared of the crazy structure of that organization (Brady mengeling in stuff. Mark Davis being more volcano-spontaneous than Bidwill)? Why are people still using salary cap as an argument as if the salary cap had any team building impact at all? Why are people focused on stadiums and completely ignore that the Cards will have new training facilities (you know, where coaches by far spent most of their time). You have no idea what Kubiak is thinking.
I don’t understand why so many assume that the Cardinals have screwed up this process. I am not saying they will for sure get one of the three best candidates, but they at least have the option, and that is much more than I dared to hope for when they fired Gannon.
...and have a great cap situation and the #1 overall pick in a draft with only one premium QB in the class. They have a far better situation for a coach than we do.Why? Nobody has any idea what Klint might like.
Raiders are more a dumpster fire than Arizona that just fired a hall of fame head coach after a year.
My point is that any honest debate on that matter has to recognize that it is close enough to warrant a debate. I personally think the Cardinals roster is better, but I am see where someone could argue the other way. Also, I can recognize that the QB situation in AZ is significantly more unclear that it impacts the comparison as well.Saying the Cardinals roster situation is "clearly better" is a symptom of looking through everything in Cardinal colored glasses - can't fix anything until people are realistic about our current situation.
Where are you seeing that?X says they are interviewing Anthony Weaver on Sunday
my take on this:
target #1 was LaFleur. But something happened during contract negotiations and he in all likelihood isnt a candidate anymore.
they moved on to Kubiak but have been told they are a long shot. By the Saturday meeting, the Cards will know he isnt interested.
so they arrange Weaver Sunday, and he will be hired that day.
Book it
I think they already interviewed Weaver last Sunday (which I believe was moved into Monday), and that was the 2nd interview. I don't think they have a 3rd lined up.X says they are interviewing Anthony Weaver on Sunday

62 to be precise. So I’m confused. How many years have you been a fan? You certainly hide that information well
You miss all the shots you don't take. The Cardinals are deluded if they think they can get Kubiak.
The fact that they are still going "their process" like it exonerated them of basic strategic thinking is blowing my mind.
They originally leaned offense, yet 2 of the 3 remaining names are defensive guys. Top notch brain trust we have going here.Where are you seeing that?
This is what popped up for mexc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Or crappy reporting. They originally leaned offense, yet 2 of the 3 remaining names are defensive guys. Top notch brain trust we have going here.
Sure. But some shots are half-court heaves that get you benched for the rest of the game. You miss all the shots you don't take.
You gotta zig when others are zagging. They originally leaned offense, yet 2 of the 3 remaining names are defensive guys. Top notch brain trust we have going here.

Pew pew pew!You gotta zig when others are zagging.
The Cards and Raiders are meeting with him in Seattle Saturday.Does anyone know when the Cards are meeting with Kubiak? I thought I saw someone say he was here today/tomorrow and raiders this weekend but can’t find it anywhere.
