Morris has been fired from 2 head coaching jobs already with only 1 season at .500 or better. Why are we interested in hiring him for a head coach? :help:
lol and that was from a weak division….i am scratching my head on this as well….

Going from being the non-playcalling offensive coordinator to being a playcalling offensive coordinator is considered a promotion.
No, Proteus, it does not, unfortunately. I think the argument is that you never know if an offensive coordinator will call plays. Those things can change quickly, so you cannot know if it is a step forward or not to switch teams.

Premium coordinators like Kubiack isnt coming here. Why would he? He could go to Josh Allen, or be under Rooney.
It’s not like he can just decide. The Bills and Steelers do have a say in who they want to hire. The more teams that hire a head coach, the more likely it is that the Cardinals will get one of the candidates left.

Actually, the Stillers aren't a hot commodity. Their grades are pretty bad with facilities not much better than ours. They always have fewer coaches (small staff) than most teams, and as for the roster, they have no QB and an old team. They're still a better job than Arizona by far, but not a hot commodity.

They clearly have a much better owner and stable organization, and they are one of the traditionally most popular franchises, but about winning a championship and having an attractive roster? I don’t know if they are far better.

By the way, I was only answering if Kubiak could simply choose to be hired by them. Not if they were a hot commodity. :)

My Cardinals fantasy is if we can hire Kubiak/LaFleur and poach Campanile away from Jags to be our DC/Assistant Head coach (promotion??). Would love to see that

Because we need a head coach? Sadly it appears our options are very limited. I'm almost certain Monti will never get who he really wants.
My point is the unknown is a better option right now than a career under 500 coach who has been fired twice…and lots of people don’t get who they truly want… I want Cameron Diaz but that doesn’t mean the chunky woman is a bad get

Gang, , our coaching search is like going to the grocery store to buy ice cream.
There’s chocolate, black cherry, rocky road, chocolate mint etc.
Every time a coach is hired the store runs out of that flavor until finally all that’s left is vanilla…and no sugar vanilla at that.
That’s what we are going to get…no sugar vanilla.
I can already hear the cliches.

The Cardinals are bringing in Anthony Weaver on Sunday for a second interview for their head coaching job, per sources.Weaver, the former NFL defensive end who most recently was Miami’s DC, is interviewing with the Bills today. He also is a finalist for the Steelers HC job.

I fully understand the analogy, but Ice-cream just isn't gonna cut it. I cannot for the life of me remember ever having bad ice-cream. :)
Maybe try cereal or soup..LOL

You know , all this talk about a head coach, does it really matter?
Whoever comes here will not be given all the tools needed to win because “Bidwill can’t operate like the big boys”.
He will be given the bare minimum with the hope of catching lightning in a bottle.
I won’t stop watching but I really have to question our sanity supporting this minor league NFL team.

Can you see Weaver being offered the job and saying, “ I’ll get back to you. I have an interview with the Cardinals”?

I feel like I have a responsibility to ask, @slanidrac16 are you close to any ledges? Access to firearms? Where can we send a well check?

All joking aside I get the frustration. I do think we will all be pleasantly surprised once the hire is announced.

Yeah but with vanilla you can add all kinds of condiments. And it goes great with almost any kind of cake. Vanilla gets a bad name.

I don't want any of these retread head coaches with mediocre/losing records.
I would like a hard nosed no nonsense kind of coach.

And then I want an owner who will keep his nose out of the football part of the operations and a GM with some backbone who is willing to get what the coach needs.

Very simple list that I want, but probably not attainable. :bang:
