The GM for the Texans has done a fantastic job hiring Ryan and drafting.

Meanwhile MO has been pretty terrible at both. We are not the Texans. Not even remotely close historically and in terms of ownerships commitment to winning at all costs.

I would love to gamble again on another young guy but we are not in that ballpark. The Cardinals are at the point where they might lose the fan base for a decade here in Phoenix. Bidwill, M. should not be putting their faith in a unproven up and comer this time around.
All the more reason to take big swings and fail fast with the head coach hire instead of a guy who does little to elevate the club like McDermott or McCarthy

Monti probably doesn't want too take big of a swing since his last head coaching hire failed.

If they get lucky and hire the right up and coming guy, the Cards can turn it around quickly. The Bears, Lions, Panthers, and Jags all have been crappy destinations run by bad ownership but FINALLY hit on a HC. All of them have been to the playoffs. Buffalo was crap with bad ownership until McDermott.

So far the Panthers' turnaround consists of lucking into the playoffs in the worst division in football with the same 8-9 record that Jonathan Gannon and the Cardinals achieved in 2024. The big difference between the Cardinals and the other teams you mentioned are that they all have quarterbacks and the Cardinals don't, unless you believe in the potential success of a Kyler Murray reclamation project with the right coaching staff in place. IMO, the Cardinals are doomed to mediocrity until they get the QB position figured out regardless of who the head coach is.

Morris has been fired from 2 head coaching jobs already with only 1 season at .500 or better. Why are we interested in hiring him for a head coach? :help:
More to the point, the alleged reasons the Falcons moved off of him was because their independent investigation stated things just weren't buttoned up.

So you were high on Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence, and Bryce Young prior to this year?

Be prepared for a disappointment. I dont even think VJ would take this job, and if he does, its the last resort. Premium coordinators like Kubiack isnt coming here. Why would he? He could go to Josh Allen, or be under Rooney. Bidwill is just cheap and horrible. No qb either. I mean we could fall back under Murray but still. .

Can you imagine coming here for an interview and then us allowing you to leave?
Worse, can you imagine coming back here for a second interview and being allowed to leave again?

lol. Not generally famous. Just a group of friends.

Turns out MadCard and I were ships passing in the night, as he graduated right before me and my merry band of morons showed up.

But they were generally infamous in those parts to… uh… certain crowds and Chavo seemed to be evergreen to all shapes and sizes on campus.

There was a hilarious thread on an IV only Facebook thread during Covid where someone completely random brought Chavo up and HUNDREDS of people I’d never met poured in with ridiculous stories, most of them one offs of run-ins with the man, the myth, the legend of Hurricane Chavo.
