Deandre, you were on a Finals team and a 64 win Suns team where it counted… it counted a lot.

This guy is a fool. "this is the biggest opportunity, I can say, in my career..."

He's just trying to do enough for another contract. I'm just wondering how long it will take for Luka and James to get tired of him.

The Lakers need to go to his house and make sure he has a mattress in LA.

I don't have the information in front of me, but the Warriors could have the oldest starting lineup in the NBA.

Nevertheless, Al Horford has had a nice career.

Could? We are ancient. I watched the first quarter last night needed a break from the Cardinals post game carnage. Horford looks great he's lost weight and looked very active on defense. But obviously him, Steph, Butler and Draymond are a pretty high risk to stay healthy the whole year. It seems like they are playing Kuminga on the 2nd unit as a 4 playing him with Horford or Post so he's always in there with a 5 who can make 3's. One of the reasons his PT dropped so much when they got Butler and he came off the injury list is they felt they couldn't play him, Butler and Draymond at the same time because none of the 3 are good 3 point shooters. So they're trying to work that out

I don't think so.

Dalton Knecht looks far from a negative asset. He is presently making about $4 million a season. If so, what does make the contracts of O'Neale and Allen look like?

Methinks you are overvaluing him. I don't think he's nearly the player that O'Neale and Allen are and he only plays one side of the ball. But I guess he's relatively cheap.

A negative asset to the Lakers is someone they can't flip for a star like Pau, AD, or Luka. They were overestimating his value. He's not a negative but won't provide a starter in return.

I'm not so sure Knecht couldn't be a starter for the right team. And his next two seasons after this season are club options. I like that contract.

On Knecht's salary and club options, I don't think so. He could still be a really good player at 24.

His stats are good for a player after his first season as well.

What exactly is O'Neale - a streaky 3 point shooter. He does nothing else.

I would trade him straight up for Knect if I could.

I'd do it as well, not that I don't like O'Neale. However, the Suns need room to use the Exceptions. Also, they need to keep getting younger.

The primary reason O'Neale and Allen were extended was to use as trade pieces.

Nope. O'Neale is much more versatile than Knecht. There is no earthly reason to make that trade other that to trade just to say you did.
O'Neal sucks. He's a bad defender, and he has ZERO offensive game inside the 3 point line. I don't even trust him to make a fast break layup. Doesn't rebound, doesn't do anything other than chuck 3's. If nothing else the trade makes sense to dump the 5 million in salary extra O'Neal makes.

Knect may not be any better - but he is still young and might get better, O'Neal is only going to get worse and is taking playing time away from our young players who might develop.

We’ll just agree to disagree.
