The rockets looked good against the jazz, but we've seen this before where KD plays within the system, at first. How long before it becomes the KD show?

It fell apart here about that first Christmas game under Vogel. It was rocky at points but I think that was when "let KD get his numbers" became the top priority. Budenholzer couldn't keep it together as long as Vogel did. KD was more set in his ways also.

Lebron is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with sciatica on the right side.

I'm sorry but the guy does his marketing scam which caused Lakers tickets to be scooped up quick and then a day or so later it comes out he's out for the next few weeks? No sympathy. He had to have known something prior because he is an athlete and the level of care he gets is top notch.

I'm skeptical as well, especially if it just happened.

Sciatic nerve pain can be excruciating and then there is the cause. For an athlete, it's an even tougher mountain to climb.

I think LeBron's second decision was awful. I know the old Barkley saying "I am not a role model" but LeBron has done everything from opening his own school for kids to be a role model so that Barkley line doesn't translate. If he announced his retirement, fine, but to promote an alcohol? Two days later he announces he's out a month. Quick case of karma catching up, perhaps.

I am dealing with that. I don't know how anyone with sciatica could jump. Mine has lingered for months as a result of someone smashing into my car on the freeway. I don't know how he will play anytime soon.

If Lebron decides to go elsewhere, he might have chosen a different injury.

IDK, I read that a case of sciatica lasts 6-8 months or may need surgery. If you select surgery it's 50/50 that it helps you. So they say to wait 6-8 months to see what happens. Mine has progressed towards better, but it has been S-L-O-W progress. I am not running or jumping like an NBA player. I think maybe it's Lebron's body saying slow down. Maybe in a few months he might come back better than ever. Or, it could linger longer. I know he's looking at his age, but maybe he should just trust his body. He may be better off skipping a season and then ramping back up slowly for the next season?

How about just retiring

I'm skeptical a person ever comes back better than ever with sciatica unless the root cause of the problem is fixed. The discs in the vertebrae take a pounding over the years if it's related to that. Of course, I'm not a doctor.

Bucks keep signing family to the team. Could it be related to Giannis?

We won't know until the real games start but I have to say so far it looks like Cooper Flagg despite his age is not in over his head? The bits I've seen he's not actually playing PG although he IS handling the ball quite a bit but so are others. He already looks like he can hold his own on defense, his jumpshot seems improved too although it improved quite a bit at Duke so it wasn't exactly broken.

I still fully expect AD will break down again he almost always does and Kyrie coming off ACL when he gets back there will be questions on how far along he is, but they could be really interesting to watch come playoffs if AD is healthy.
