conner has been petzing's rock and comfort blanket - his all purpose swiss army knife and captain on the field - all of that is gone now
but what we saw and what a couple have mentioned was the new playbook yesterday after conner's season ending injury - looked like the condoms came off - or at least until the last drive where i believe petzing was feeling very connerless
but... with conner being conner - he's installed a lot of his knowledge upon trey benson who let's face it - got some burst to his game - benson will now become petzing's focal point and im sure k9 just can't wait
regardless- even before the injury benson was beginning to get his share of not just carries but snaps and passes - pass protection assignments - chipping and leaking out - i think benson might be ready for this
lastly - and i'll probably take a bunch of ish for saying this but our offense might be close - the dropped passes - delays - tds called back - holding penalties - if we can clean up our mistakes i think our offense begins to take shape - and we don't have to worry about the same old same old (not a diss on conner but on petzing) because our most used piece is now completely off the table
of course a lot of this depends on our o-line but that's another matter
