I hated the Smith pick but I want to see him next year before freaking out. Monty was never going to play a 20 year old significant minutes on a playoff team.

One hour left to the trade deadline as I understand it, so that's Noon Arizona time.

@Ronin

I need something for the Suns like a backup center or power forward.

Can you find me something?

So the top six teams in the west are: Suns, Lakers, Jazz, Clippers, Nuggets and Blazers.

Suns have played:

Lakers (2games) - W- w/o Kuzma, Gasol or AD

- W- w/o LeBron, AD or Gasol

Jazz (Haven’t played)

Clippers (1game) - L- 107-112 They had all starters

Nuggets (3games) - W- 106-103 in first meeting. Denver was 1-4 and w/o Michael Porter

- L- 2nd meeting OT Denver had all Starters

- L- 3rd meeting 2OT Denver had all Starters

Portland (2games) - W- both games w/o Mcollum

Suns are 4-4 in the eight games played against the top teams in the west. Out of those eight games the opposing team had all of their starters available in only three. Denver twice and the clippers once. The suns lost all three of those games.

We played the Jazz early in the season - full strength for the Jazz - and beat them in Utah. Maybe Conley wasn't playing yet?

A lot of teams around us improving. Not insinuating anything, just an observation.

Suns need that backup center or power forward. It shouldn't be that hard.

They are overly dependent on Saric.

Does that really make them better?

To be honest I am not sure I have watched the clippers all year, but in my opinion Lou Williams is the better player.

It kind of is hard when we have basically no tradeable contracts, and very few picks for the next few years.
