The Celtics seem to be looking to make a big move this offseason, which could mean trading Jaylen Brown to pull it off. However, Boston still has to fill out its roster with additional moves.

Boston has to add depth pieces, and it could be interested in landing one from the Dallas Mavericks.

On Sunday, HoopsHype NBA insider Michael Scotto mentioned the Celtics as a potential team interested in signing Mavericks point guard Brandon Williams.

Williams has been in the NBA since the 2021-22 season, starting his career with the Trail Blazers before spending the last three seasons with the Mavericks. The 6-foot-1 guard played in 66 games this season, averaging 13 points and 3.9 assists per game.

The Celtics could be looking to add Williams as a backup point guard, just in case they trade Brown and throw Payton Pritchard into the starting lineup next to Derrick White.
