Detroit with a salary dump. They'll have money to throw at Ayton, but nothing to offer in return now. This improves the chances we keep Ayton even though Detroit fans will think differently.

How long does Portland have to trade Grant? I remember there being a timeframe after a trade where a player can still be traded.
Doesn’t this arm Detroit with multiple 1st round picks to try and make a deal for Ayton, with one of them being a lotto pick?

I guess if the Suns are just interested in future picks as it's unlikely Detroit will draft a player at #5 for the Suns a week ahead of free agency before they can legally even talk to Ayton.

Pistons could be interested in adding another pick by trading for Gordon Hayward.

We HAVE to have something lined up right?

Or we gonna sit around like last year while everyone else improves?

This feels like the Suns are going to go right ahead and follow the Cardinals lead… look like world-beaters, slowly fade, then just FACEPLANT to end the season and then watch it’s best young talent walk away while they do next to nothing.

If Murray is available, the Suns should be all over that. Whether it is for Ayton, or if we just trade a boatload of future firsts, Murray is a guy I would jump at the chance to get.

He’s the best young PG in the NBA you do whatever you can to get him

In the linked article, it sounds like the Pistons are gearing up to sign Ayton to an offer sheet.

I’d pack Ayton’s bags to get Murray I think he’s special

I'd trade Ayton for Murray if the deal is on the table.

I even liked Derrick White before he was traded to the Celtics.

It also says the Suns are making calls about Crowder

The Suns need to move on from Crowder. If they can get a first round pick, they should do it.
